InnoSTARS companies swept top three prizes at a global technology competition on Dec.22, 2018 in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
During the two-day 2018 Talents Make Future Overseas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Q Hydrogen Solutions Corporation’s QuasarWave Hydrogen Generator won the first place, Vairex’s High Technology Compressors for Fuel Cell Commercialization won the second and RPM’s Root Production Method received the third.
All these three companies attended 2018 InnoSTARS competitions and matchmaking events. They are among the 26 companies led by U.S.-China Innovation Alliance to attend the Talents Make Future competition.
InnoSTARS companies also swept the “Hong Mian Angel” awards. Portable Cardiopulmonary Assistance System won the first prize. Vitro loT Platform got the second place. Ligand Augmented Sorption, Advanced silicon-graphene materials for Li-ion batteries and SMARTmid Drug Delivery and Development Platform won the third prize.
Other than them, candidates from other European and Asian countries include firms, individuals, patent owners or holders, initiators of projects with technologies that fit the key needs of economic and social development of Guangzhou.
The competition was organized by the Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology.
